text field for customers message

Hi all,

How do i create a text box for customers to insert their own message?

For example, if its valentines day, they may buy a rose, then at the checkout they can enter 'to fluffy love bunny' the client can then pick that message up in the order.

Against the product click on the "layout" tab and in the "Other Info Question" enter something like "add you message here"

This will make the field compulsory however. If you want to make it optional check out Norman's "Multi Other Info Prompt" over at www.drillpine.biz - note this is donationware. This can be used just for 1 field and works a treat (but does require some careful patching of the .pl scripts)
