    Upload problems

I'm having some major problems uploading my site. First problem is usually a time out error during the sending of catalog files. After OK-ing that the upload continues for a while then I might get a "connection to the server could not be established". Ok that and upload continues, then I get an error which says that CGI scripts cannot be run on the server - I retry a few times but it just won't have it. This happens both during website refreshes and normal uploads. Is it just 1and1 servers being overloaded or is it at my end? I have tested my network settings and they pass no problem, in fact if I persevere and try to upload again and again sometimes eventually works, but it's hardly satisfactory.

Are you on windows or Unix?

Have you enabled enhanced FTP in Advanced | Network Setup? If so, click the FTP options button on the right and check your timeouts. Mine are set to 5000 and 15000 and have no problem to report on 1 & 1 Linux Business.

I've just enabled Enhanced FTP and the site is currently uploading, but has already had two timouts and a server connection reset. After it's finished I'll check the FTP settings and hopefully that will sort it out for future uploads.
      Thanks Bill
