    Catalogue page gap

    Anyone know what's causing this gap at the top of my main catalogue page?

    It only happens on the main page.

    http://www.designeropticsonline.com/...icsonline.html

    I want to put a title at the top like this but if I do its miles from the top.

    http://www.designeropticsonline.com/...owitworks.html

    If I open the temp page in DW it has no "lickel anchors" saying which template just the usual load of login account code.
    Cheers

    At a rough guess - it's allied to the height=396 allocated to the table cell containing the first sentence.

        This is the page source seen on line
        <link href="/actinic.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
        <tr>
        <td colspan="3" valign="top">

        <div align="center"><A NAME="a4">
        <table border="0" width="95%" cellpadding="10">
        <tr>
        <td height="362" align="left" valign="top"><p align="left" class="actqqxx03small">Designer Optics Online source the most fabulous brands and great fitting frames at the lowest prices on the net.<br />
        <br />
        How are we able to do this &ndash; using our years of experience in the optical business, we choose the best styles direct from the licensees in Italy cutting out the middleman.<br />
        <br />
        The css file link should normally be in the head section of the page, and not within the body like this, and the height = 362 is right there before the first sentence - now whether its a customvar, or how it got there - I have no idea, but this is yet another time when the mark one human eyeball beats Dreamweaver hands down.

          Cheers for ya help (once again) I was looking for "396" of 362 but ya right if I'd used my eyes I would of seen what you meant.

          The 362 height is the fragment/table that contains the main text "Designer Optics Online source the most....."

          I del'ed the height value (didn't help)

          I deleted the whole text fragment (didn't help)

          If I take the page source and drop into DW there's a big jap before it gets to any fragments, by the looks of it it is happening on other shop pages I just couldn't see it "DoH!"

          Could it be all the P's and br's in the centre part of act_primary?

          <Actinic:CURRACCOUNT/>
          <Actinic:LOGOUT_SIMPLE/>
          <p><br>
          <!-- NETQUOTEVAR:HEADER -->
          <span class="actxsmall">NETQUOTEVAR:HEADERTEXT<br>
          <br>
          </span> NETQUOTEVAR:BULK </p>
          <p><br>
          <br>

          I didn't want to start del'ing code I'm not sure of at this late stage.
          Thanks again mate.

          BTW: I'm going to go through everything ansd del the CSS links. Theyre just me being a CSS virgin
