    Adding table to section

    Hi

I'm looking to have a product table at the top of a couple of sections in my shop to show product specifications, etc. The products would be for sale below the tables so no need for 'buy' buttons - just a quick comparison chart and I only want two different tables on two different pages here & here.

    I'm using a clean layout (No.6) if that's important.

Can anybody guide me in the right direction?

    Cheers

    Andy

Insert a text only fragment and build your table in the fragment like I do in the navigation on the pharaohs timeline page here http://www.egyptianwonders.co.uk/aca..._Timeline.html

        Andy,

Your thread is exactly what I'm trying to do and I see from your website that you've added the required tables within a fragment - so how did you do it?

        Thanks,

        Bob.

Use a Text Only fragment and stick your HTML into the description. Put it between the special Actinic !!< and >!! tags so that Actinic knows that you want it to pass through as embedded HTML.

          E.g.

          A !!<<b>bold</b>>!! word.

Yep, I created a table and a couple of lines below in Dreamweaver then copied the text and pasted it between !!< and >!!.

I was expecting something more complicated but it really was that quite straight forward.

Ah . . . . . there's where the plan falls down - I know all about !!< & >!! but don't know what Dreamweaver does. Presumably it's a software package that converts formatting to HTML? Now that would make life simpler!!!

              Thanks anyway.

              Cheers,

              Bob.

Bob - if you let the forum know what size of table you are after and the number of rows and columns you need then I am sure some kind soul will post the HTML for you

                      Jonty,

Sorry - realised what a mess my 'signature' was.

As I was saying . . . . Thanks, Malcolm Bailey kindly did it for me last night but I was trying to find out how to do it for the future.

Thanks for the links - will check them out.

                      Cheers

                      Bob.
