Other Customers Bought ... ?

Hi,

Is there any software that integrates with actinic that allows us to have a "Other customers also bought ..." section.

I was thinking maybe normans upsell program, but with an automated bit that looks through previous orders and creates the upsell data?

Cross sellpro is expensive, but it does related products, best sellers, write a review, rate thisproduct and people whobought this

CSP could be more popular and potentially sell more if they offered each of these separeately.

I mulled the price over for ages before buying, but I think it adds abit more to a site to offer these features.

The site I added this to, had an improvement in people buying multiple products.

So I reckon I got my money's worth.

It works online as all order info is kept in a separate MySQL database. I considered Norman's upsell but I wanted the automatic solution.

Are there any other known examples of actinic sites with "Related Products". Also is there anyone using the Smart Decision version of Cross Sell Pro with the ratable products and customer reviews ?

I'm currently using the Cross Sell Pro form Smart. Have a look at these links to see how I'm using it.

This one is using the Related Products and Rate this Product features:

There are a few other products on the site that have Related Products, but I'm slowly adding these - it takes a while!!

On the home page of my site I'm using the Best Seller feature, which updates dynamically with each sale.

I'm not using the Product Review or Customers also Bought Feature at the moment, but its something that can be added later.

Im very interested in this also, but would like to see more examples before I nag my boss to invest in it. Also how easy is it to customise?

I have soo many questions, but I'll wait untill I see a few more examples before asking them as they may be answered there...

It's seems fairly easy to customise. You do get an instruction manual for installation, Actinic configuration as well how to customise it. I actually got Smart to do it for me when they were designing the site as that was the best solution for me at at the time.

It might be worth contacing Mike at Smart (The boss), as when I was looking into it he had a few demo sites thats showed what it could do and how it had been implemented.

Thats the downside, because as far as Actinic is concerned its just another product, the only difference is the template, you have to create the image size yourself as you would adding any new product, the good thing is that when you have like me similar products they often can have the same upsell items and so you can just copy the origional and paste it as a duplicate, so that the price is always the same as the parent product.

You need to alter the Act_ProductBody template and create a new Act_ProductLine template and rename the new template (eg. Act_ProductLineMulti) then create custom prop.

I will find the origional thread and post it, its one that Norman solved!
