    Faulty View Cart and Checkout

    Hi

The View Cart and Checkout pages on my clients site are:

    1. Not reading the stylesheet
    2. Only showing a thin black line for the Cart Items Box
    3. And the view cart page is showing no information with regards products.

    The pages are here:

    View Cart

    http://www.frankwilsontravel.com/cgi...CTION=SHOWCART

    Checkout

    http://www.frankwilsontravel.com/cgi...l?ACTION=Start

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Your link gave me a basehref page referencing the community bulletin board.

Subsequent attempts to access the site picked up the cookie with that reference in it.

In the catalog page for the ediburgh tattoo I found references like this
    Code:
    <INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME="PAGEFILENAME" VALUE="copy_of_ukBreaks.html"
but when I tried to add to cart it took me back to your post in the Actinic Support Forum. I will clear cookies and try again.

OK - when I found and deleted your cookie and came back to the site by typing the home page URL into the address bar, I still found the "copy of" page names running through the site.

I added 2 Tattoo tickets to basket 4 times for a total of 640 quid, then tried to view cart to delete that.

The basehref on the cart page is <BASE HREF="http://www.frankwilsontravel.com/"> - missing the acatalog/

Check your settings in Advanced | Network setup, compact both databases from Housekeeping | Compact databases, and then do a Web | Refresh - see if this helps.

        View Cart and Checkout problem

        Hi

        Thanks for your replies.

I have checked the Network settings and they are fine.

As far as the 'copy of' files, my client hasn't got to grips with Actinic fully and is unaware that he can change these to be more reflective of each page.

With regards, the base href issue being with out /acatalog. Is there a quick way I can rectify this.

Actinic are saying that the problem is resulting from my hard coding of the view cart and checkout links and that I should replace them with the relevant NETQUOTE VARS.

However, I have developed many actinic sites with these links hard coded and they have never had any problems.

        Any ideas?

        Regards

The design guide says (in part)
There are a few variables and tags within the <HEAD> area of an Overall Layout template
that are required for a store to function correctly. These are:
          <Actinic:BASEHREF VALUE="NETQUOTEVAR:BASEHREF"/>
          <META NAME="ACTINICTITLE" CONTENT="NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER">
you could check that you do have these NETQUOTEVARS in your Act_Primary files.

However, I have developed many actinic sites with these links hard coded and they have never had any problems.
Isn't that a bit like saying, "I have crossed the main road with my eyes shut many times, and nothing has happened to me yet">
