bounce page removal ?

Hi all,

Now that I have Grahams nifty bit of code giving me a cart summary I would like to remove the 'bounce' altogether, ive adjusted the delay to 1 second but would rather have no bounce whatsoever.

Is this possible or is it an essential function of catalog ? If it cannot be stopped could it be made invisible so that it bounces in the background without the user having to go dizzy whilst adding items ?
