    Product colours problem

I am mulling over a problem of product colour choice.

In my latest shop we have a selection of toys for babies that come in two colours pink and blue.

This causes an issue for picking, and it has been suggested we have two product reference codes: 12345P (for pink) 12345B (for blue).

As a result, I now have twice as many products to add to the website (OK I'm wingeing!), but my basic problem is the page layout Pink toy/Blue toy really does not look as smooth as one product with colour choice.

Is there anyway I can link product codes to colour choice?

    Just thinking...

    Sally,

Make your two products, one blue - one pink, and then hide them both. Make a third product with the generic description, and add a component for colour and add the choices. Link each colour choice to the appropriate hidden product on the permutations tab.
