I want to use ex prices for some customers, and inc prices for normal
Design | Options - Miscellaneous tab, tick both the 'Display tax exclusive prices' and 'Display tax inclusive prices' if you are using Catalog OR check out 'Customer Groups' in the online help, if you are using Business or Developer.

Thanks Chris for the detailed response. I have no experience in building software - so I appreciate you explaining why it is not a simple fix.

Am I correct in assuming that therefore if you will start working on it soon that a fix will not be incorporated in version 8, but that it may be in version 9? Or is it still possible that this will end up in version 8?

      Thanks again,

Hi Remmo, I can answer this one on Chris's behalf.

We would never introduce a huge change like this half-way through a product's release. So you won't see this change as part of v8.

Here's another for the wish list -

When a customvar is added to the product properties - SELECT THE "USE CUSTOMVAR" BY DEFAULT

Currently it's unticked by default and it's driving me nuts!!! Either, I remember to keep selecting it which is a pain, or I forget and it takes me ages to figure out why something isn't working.

It doesn't help that the option is shoved off the end of a tiny tiny window that I have to keep scrolling around to find anything!

I'm not even sure WHY anyone would add a customvar and then not want to use it? That doesn't really make sense... (though I'm sure there is some bizare circumstance where it might be applicable)

Fair point well put John. I guess it does make you look at the other fields whilst you are there but I agree - it would be nice / sensible to be selected by default. This could even be a v7 patch?

Fair point John. I am checking with development to see if there is a way to have the 'Use as CUSTOMVAR' field selected by default instead of 'Searchable'. Will update you.

                Kind regards,

for v8 how about having the ability to add shipping with the product info - this would make things much more flexible in terms of adding free ship products, different pricing for different prods of same weight etc etc.

I always end up hitting a brick wall when it comes to trying to do exactly what my clients want when it comes to shipping due to the current restrictions.

                    Thx - Kevin

                          Hi,

Just a couple of further suggestions for a future version.

                          1) Is there any chance of making the 'full description' area in the product 'general' tab bigger or give the option to resize it?

                          2) also, it would be great if we had dreamweaver style code colouring. I must not be alone in the fact that I use a lot of html & css tags in my full descriptions and it would be easier if we had tags in different colours.

                          Just a thought.

                          Cheers.

                            1) Right click in the description and select zoom.

                              Thanks Bill.

I never knew about the zoom function? My god, to think of all the times I could have used that!

I really should read manuals more.

                              Cheers

I also will have to read the manuals thoroughly!
