If you are using Actinic Business, you can use the new 'Marketing | Mailing Lists' feature in v8 to create a filter for all the orders you've completed today, and then print the contact details onto mailing labels.

i _dont_ want a froogle feed.

i'm more interested in a 'generic' feed, that is tab seperated, and has more data in it on each product.

i want to be more specific as to what is exported. i want to selec, or exclude sections. i want to be able to export one, or all the items.

in short, i'v written my own feed wrangler and i'm tired of actinics froogle output.

can this be done?

Thanks Chris. Nice idea but it doesn't work with Dymo label printers. I just tried and none of the formats produce a suitable output.

All it needs is a simple form output for each address.

but havent you noticed that froogle's feed definition is dead? and therefore continuing to keep that feed output is pointless?

much better, in the mean time would be a google base feed, very little code to change there. simply re-arrange the tdv, and that'll do.

So, there'll be no slapping of the chops, old man.

and also, i think little actinic robots would be cute. scuttling around and packing things, while i sit in my smoking jacket and read the broadsheets.

The BASE feed headers seem to be changing on a weekly basis at the moment .. much too quickly for Actinic to keep providing new patches. I expect they will wait until Google finally makes it's mind up in what it is doing and then they will respond

The feed works ok for me - GBase accepts the standard Actinic output ok.

yes, i'v seen that software, and thats what prompted me to write my own.

not that its wrong, or does not work, i just dont think it was right for me. You're right however, but there are standard sets of headsers. these are the ones I used.

as of yesterday, i ahve 700 odd items on froogle/base, and all i did was upload the actinic/froogle file that popped out of my app.

google base is actually quite accomodating, then it comes to the order of your headers, and indeed the order of the information. New headers are includable as your product changes, mutating the style of the product.

for instance (for those that dont know) froogle has specific feed options for mhz and screen size, most likely for computers, sold through froogle. Now, these options _can_ be included in your feed if you wish, but they are not required to put up a simple product. In fact, its possible to have a very barebones product listing with only the name, and price, link and such and it'll still validate. The additional properties are assimilated by google base into meta data for their grand search hoopla.

as far as i'm aware, no app i'v seen currently supports fetching the latest categories like mine does

I am on v7.0.4 which will not output the correct feeds so have to hack these in Excel - not a problem but just another 5 mins a week could be spent on the forum

You can do this with V8, you can choose to print your invoices on integrated label paper, which gives you a label as part of your invoice.

If you want to print to a dymo label, replace your packing list or data entry report with a dymo label report and again that can be printed as part of the actinic one click processing.

I have got a few, but they are not free unforuntately. If you have crystal if wouldn't be too hard to make your own.
