Page without the /acatalog/ in the URL

    Hi

For magazine marketing reasons I would like to have a page named:

    http://www.kjbeckett.com/flatlinks.html

    that automatically redirects to:

    http://www.kjbeckett.com/acatalog/stewartstand.html

I cant figure out where to put the redirect page (flatlinks.html) so that it doesn't feature the /acatalog/. Presumably outside my Site1 folder which uploads to claranet?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Assuming you can with claranet, the best way to do this is to create the redirect using a .htaccess file.

A quick search on your favourite searche engine will throw up lots of advice on how to do this. Just make sure it's a permanent redirect that you use.

Yes - CLARA does allow the use of .htacess rules.

You will need to create a blank HTML page and upload via FTP to the root of the website /public/www/ and the .htacess will bounce that page on to the page of your choice

Or you could embed the site in a frame and make it look transparent as I did with one of our client sites.
