What does this mean.

I had a FATAL Error,

FATAL ERRORS
(File SnapshotWizard.cpp,  Line 816) - Archive error 5 - The compression operation failed
	Library error - Can not open file C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Sites\Site1\ActinicCatalog.mdb ! has been caught.
Errors

This is all stemming from..... File > Snapshot > Site Export .....

Now I'm cacking ?

Ensure the database is not open anywhere else, compact the database under Actinic, resart Actinic and try the export snaphot again.

Backup. Do a purge, compact and then try a snapshot.

Restart fixes it temporarily ....

Restarting Actinic works, but if I run a snapshot twice it always bombs out the second time.

I suppose if you think its just software and typical computer issues then OK.

However I am tempted to uninstall Actinic and re-install it and then re-load my site ?

Something is not right. It was OK a few days ago ?

It sounds as though the Actinic snapshot action is not releasing the database when finished for some reason. On the first snapshot do you get any errors? Is this perhaps related to the problem you had with images in different locations?

What if I re-install .....

There's is definately a roll-up of issues.

To thicken a plot, it may have happened after I ran Spyware Doctor and found 178 infrections that McAfee did not see and like a fool I deleted the files, aaaaah. Could I have deleted a file critical to Actinics function ?

Yes, my images issue is in amongst this and also, the Preview, Actinic takes about a minute to think about something and then does the action, I have been working in Simple Preview, as Page View Preview is taking for ever.

What if I uninstall and re-install from disk and start again.

Will I be able to re-instate my Content Tree, how does this happen,I assume the site snapshot is the backup ?

What if I uninstall and re-install from disk and start again.

If you decide to go this route make sure that you have a snapshot, a full copy af site1 as well as an export of your network settings and a text copy of the security key and activation key.
And, although I'm not sure if this is needed, but you might also want to backup some the Actinic registry keys - if you have a file in your Sitebackups folder called OverwrittenSite.zip then you will see a sample in there.
