    Actinic on Fasthosts

I have been tearing my hair out trying to upload Actinic onto a a site hosted by Fasthosts on their Windows server. I have read that many others have had similar problems but despite speaking to Fasthosts 5 times no solutions can be found. (I am not using Fasthosts SSL) When I test the Network settings I get an error message stating 'path from cgi-bin to acatalog does not exist on the web server' when I use the Networt Settings wizard I get a message stating that the sites permissions are set at 0700 not 0755 as required. I have asked Fasthosts to change these but they say thats not the problem. Any ideas? I have built a few Actinic sites (but not on Fasthosts) and not had any problems. My network settings are:

        Changing permissions

Many thanks will try and change permissions again. I had a go with Putty but was unable to do so. I was told that as I am on their Windows server rather than their Linux server I would not be able to do this.
All very frustrating. Wanted to avoid having to move onto their Linux server as this will take some time.

        Thanks for you help

As far as I'm aware you'll have problems trying to change permissions on their windows servers.....even with putty. I ended up swapping to their Linix servers. I''ve numerous posts up here that document the initial problems I had with Fasthosts. Just do a search mate, I think all you'll need will be in previous posts
