Zoom Product Images

I would like to use a flash animation so that browsers can zoom in on my products. Is it possible to use flash for my product images or does any one know of another way of acheiving this?

Actinic only supports jpg gif and png for product images.

You can use Custom Properties within a modified product template to diplay all sorts of other content on the page. This technique lends itself to using 3rd party (Flash, Java, etc) utilities.

Here http://www.standanddeliver.com/acata...ason_AM40.html is an example of using JavaScript and Custom Properties to change the main product image when alternate views are selected.

I have added a new Custom Property and added this to my product line but it still is not showing flash movies - it works with jpgs & gifs - am I missing something. Sorry I am not too clued up on this.

You usually require all the additional code to make a .SWF work. Paste the SWF into a blank HTML page in say DreamWeaver and then copy and paste the resulting code into Actinic

This works fro idividal page but I can seam to get it working for CUSTOMVAR product image - I have tried placing the code into the product line as shown

with the CUSTOMVAR where the image name would be but this doesn't work either - perhaps this was not what you were trying to tell me to do?? sorry having a bad day

On the CUSTOMVAR - did you tick filename and use file contents?

Don't check "Use File Contents". This will cause Actinic to try to include the binary code of your object as inline text. Just the "Filename" checkbox is required.
