Script Error! on Pop Up Info

Somehow I seem to have destroyed the ability for the Extra Info button to work correctly, and whilst trying to solve the problem, I can no longer access my shopping cart online.

    I hope someone can help.

    Thanks in advance

There seems (22:12) to be no site there other than a home page.

I got a T & C page when I tried just now, but then followed the link to Home and got http://www.stanningleyfiresides.co.u...log/index.html which was a mirror of the same page. Shortening that to http://www.stanningleyfiresides.co.uk/index.html got me a page with a product link, from which I confirmed that the stanningleyfiresides site is indeed broke - I do hope that you have a snapshot from several days ago to reload from.

The shop is a sub domain of www.stanningleyfiresides.co.uk and has work ok before. Actinic changes this sometimes. I have to manually ammend it back. It is accessable now, thank s.

At the moment I access it by going to search, then store top.

I see Internal Server Error when trying to Add to Cart.

This implies that ShoppingCart.pl is broken. Have you changed this file or any other of the Perl (.pl and .pm) files?

Also, you've not said which product(s) should have an extended info popup, so it's very hard to comment on that problem. A full URL and product name would help.

Sorry, I suppose it does help.

One of the products is ATHOS under GAS FIRES, Hole in the Wall as Fires,

Regarding the .pl files, I havent touch them for months, although I did upload fresh about 1 month ago.

I think you'd better fix the Perl problem first. Until then you've nothing to sell. Have you tried a site Refresh to see if that fixes the duff files?

Ok, I have regen. the pl and pm files and some of the site is now working again, Thnaks.

It tells me to manually upload .class files and create a directory call COM/ etc. But I am unable to find these files!

The 'more info' button is still inactive.

Can you post the URL of a page containing a More Info button?

The link http://www.directfiresonline.co.uk doesn't seem to lead to any products.

Using search for 'athos' from the broken directfires page takes me to a multi-product page with a more info popup link that tries to open the staningleyfiresides/athos.htm page as a popup.

I think if you are ever going to build this new site successfully, you need to forget staningley ever existed and actuially build the site by building each and every page you need, one at a time.

Trying to stitch two sites together in this way is just providing lots of badly sewn seams to rip apart.

Sorry, this is not 2 sites amalgamated, The Stanningley is just a info page for another Non online shop.

I am unsure how to get the link you are after as it always says www.directfiresonline.co.uk in the address bar.

The quick link at the moment is http://www.directfiresonline.co.uk/index2.html

Thank you for being patient with a learner>

This is the first few lines of the Directfires page source that is published when you follow the Gas Fires - Hole in the wall fires from your index2 link - which redirected to index.html

                        Code:
                        <!-- Primary HTML begin -->
                        <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

and this is the same from index.html
                        Code:
                        <!-- Primary HTML begin -->
                        <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

Somewhere in your business settings or network settings, you have the stanningley address entered, and this is causing all your links to look for the pages on stanningley website. (I typed the neon.html directly in the address bar - I got a three line page. The heading, one line of text, a 'close window' hyperlink. The hyperlink was looking for /cgi-bin/ss000001.pl on stanningley website, so reported a 404 file not found error)

tHERE IS A PROBLEM WIH THE SCRIPTS, iT WILL NOT UPLOAD THE SITE AT THE MERGING INCREMENTALS. So my email, cart, checkout do not work, I have sort all the other things out, but still the extra info link will not work? I have reinstalled Actinic fresh,(deleted all files) and uninstalled from windows and still have the same problem. Also cleaned out the ftp directory online.
Is this a fault on the host side?

                          And what could this be.

                          Thanks again.

Also I sorted the two site being messed around.

I think we need to start with the basics. What type of hosting do you have and do they meet all the Actinic requirements? Once you have made your settings in View | Business Settings (including the email contact) and in Advanced | Network Setup, try the TEST button and see what error messages you get.
