    Customers cant log in

    Hi guys
    Having a problem allowing registered customers to log in, site is rejecting their
    username and password even though this is definatly set up right

    have tried every setting I could find but no joy

    Is there perhaps something obvious to check that I might have missed?

    this one is proving trickey! if anyone has any ideas I would be delighted!

    I have customer accounts enabled, many customers set up, with buyers with active status, have treble checked usernames and passwords but nobody can log in

    the site is saying invalid username or password for all accounts/ buyers!

    Is there anything i might be missing guys?

      In business settings under the ordering tab, confirm the following are ticked: 'Allow orders from customer accounts' and 'Allow repeat orders from customer accounts'.

      If they are, then the settings may have corrupted on the server. Try updating. It that doesn't work, try refresh. If that doesn't work, try purge and refresh.

        The username and passwords are case sensitive, are you using the correct case when logging in? Sorry if this is a daft answer but I make this mistake all of the time when trying to login as a customer.

          I enabled the Repeat orders from customer accounts option, refeshed and it works fine, nice one!

          but doe that mean that we have to have that feature? its not really appropriate for the products we offer

          thanks again

          PS Had to double check the case after your suggestion Jan! always trips me up too that one

              If anyone is interested I replaced the save.gif and retrieve.gif with 1x1 gifs to get round the problem, clumsy i know but its working, to a point

              Im still getting people unable to log in, have checked everthing now, also have the Cookie Policy on the members accounts setting and am out of ideas as to whats wrong

              any ideas anyone?

                Logging in

                Barry - when I recently upgraded from catalog to business, I had this problem too - but had simply been forgetting to Update after adding new accounts!

                Sorry if I am accusing you of being as daft as I was!!

                  Has the issue been resolved cause otherwise I would suggest registering an email query at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm so that Support can find out what is causing this problem.

                    Thanks Russell, Robert for the tips, I think its the Support query route then!

                    One thing im getting, whenever i add a new customer account and try to send the password/ welcome email, Actinic says that "you have emails waiting for this customer, do you want to see them" or something similar, if i click yes it shows me a list of previously sent emails to other customers, not the one just entered. If i click on No, it allows me to send the email

                    could this be where my problem lies? perhaps actinic is cconfusing the different customer accounts

                    perhaps i have set them up wrong, Mmmmm.....
