Multi User Option

Could anyone tell me whether the multi user option is available with the deverloper version of actinic 7.

It would be grate to be able to put the actinic mdb onto a network drive - have automated download.

This would then enable me to make custom reports etc. and import into our existing "In house" database solution.

You can upgrade developer version 7 to multiuser version 7 (which is internally version 75 - so a version up from 7 in a way). Contact the Actinic sales team for details.

If you just want to access your Actinic database for custom report creation and transfer of data to your own system, you could stick with V7 and just share the drive that Actinic is stored on.

Stupid Question

Hi Jan

Just a question with that multi user option. If the mutiuser is over a network pointing to the same database, could you edit the site from multiple computers then. Or does it only mean that you can download from different locations ?

Hello Shannon,

If you mean the Actinic multiuser option, then yes, you can edit the site from any machine however you can do this for 1 user at a time for each site that you have.

The multiuser version has two types of users, admin and order processor, admin can edit the site details but only one admin user can be logged on at a time, order processors process orders (surprise surprise) but you can have as many of those logged in as you have licenses. If you have more than one site, you can have an admin user logged into each of them.
