    Representative's Commission

    We are planning to have area reps selling our products. These reps will push the web site. In order to reward the rep if one of their contacts places an order via the web site we want to be able to know which rep they have been recommeded to use the web site by. Is there are way of setting up the customer accounts so when an order comes in we know which rep to allocate commission to?

    All prices will be the same so no need for retail and wholesale prices. We were thinking Actinic Business was the way to go but I'm not sure.

    I think you will have to give your prospective customers an incentive to apply whatever method you choose but here are a couple of possibilities:

    1. A special link per rep into the website - and then use an affiliate scheme to track sales.
    2. A special coupon code per rep to be redeemed at the checkout.

    Or a combination of both.

    An affiliate scheme will give you additional options of the reps being able to track their performance online themselves as well as you being able to track visitors vs customers resulting from your rep's call.

      You could ask for the reps name using one of the other info boxes at checkout or get the rep to give you the details of the contact and then setup a customer account for that person and group it under the reps name- you would then be able to track the orders.
