Search engine ranking for Actinic sites???

Hi folks

I'm totally confused now. Our Actinic based website www.ktecgroup.co.uk has been up on the web for a good 12 months now, but we don't seem to feature anywhere in any search engine results and I just don't understand why. I have registered the website url with Google, Yahoo etc several times.

What do I need to do in order to get my site to appear on search engine results? All our competitors seem to be right up at the top of the list and that isn't what I want! I've read about links being important, but I don't really understand what is meant by this.

I'm a novice when it comes to web design so please don't confuse me with science, I would just like to know how you guys get your sites to show up on Google and other serach engines? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

please search the forum, as the question you have asked has been answered many times already.

use SEO, Google etc as your search terms

Try this link. Take its suggestions, and keep trying differnt things until you get it right (all search engines are different so no guarantee, however, it should help quite a bit).

p.s. this isnt the easiest to use test out there but a much better on is out there (free) but I am at work and cannot remember the name. Do a search on google and try different tests out as they all do it slightly differntly.
