Nortree in columns?

I wondered if you could get the Nortree menu to appear in 3 or more columns? rather than just one straight down the page...

Nortree is 3 separate bits of software. A GUI configuation program, a JavaScript interface to the Actinic section tree and a DHTML menu generation program. I wrote the first two and the final one (hv_menu) is from Ger Versluis as posted on http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...menu/index.htm

What you want would be a very difficult modification of the hv_menu code and isn't one I'd want to try.
