Allow customer to edit the total cost

Is it possible to allow customer to edit the cost of a product or the grand total including postage?

It is possible to allow the customer to enter their own price for a certain product(s). This requires a lot of custom Perl patching. It is secure as the patch limits the override to only work on the products you choose.

I have no knowledge of perl! I need to do it for one product, any suggestion? Norman, do you have something automated on your website?

Unfortunately, no. It would have to be bespoke work.

Custom modifications to your Primary Template, Product Template, ActinicOrder.pm, Cart.pm and ShoppingCart.pl are needed.

In addition a Custom Property has to be set and used for the override products (to prevent hackers from using this facility from entering their own prices for any product).

As I said it isn't trivial.
