How to Duplicate a Site?

I am sure I have seen a thread simular to this before but can not find it anywhere so sorry if its been covered before...I have looked honestly !

We are running developer and want to copy a site and create an identicial copy under a new site name. We want to copy templates, data, etc etc

We will then be modifying certain things on the new site which has been created.

Does anyone know the correct procedure for doing this?

I did this just the other day. Take a snapshot of your existing site. Create a new site. Import the existing snapshot into the new site.
