    Combining Products

I am currently listing some products, and some of them have additional (sometimes required) ad-ons which fluctuate in price.

I have listed the main product and its accessory seperately and I wish to combine them and as apposed to listing the product within the same listing I'd like them to link up.

    I.E
A CD Walkman will need batteries

I list them both seperately and I would like the battery option to be present on the CD Walkman page as an optional extra.

Rather than adding a component and attribute id just like it to link.

    if that makes sence?

    cheers

The programmers obviously thought it made sense - click on a product in the tree on the left, then click the link tab on the right. Put a tick in advanced, some text in the link text box, and select the product you want to link to...

its 6 of one and half a dozen of another....

if I wanted batteries for a walkman I wouldn't need/want to go to another page as I know what a battery is, I would prefer to buy my walkman with one extra click to add my 2 or 4 AA batteries.

I have to say i get cross if I get taken away from a section I 'm browsing as often its the devils own job to get back to it.

Last night I was looking at a site with the intention of buying a new ipod (or similar -mine has broken - unless someone can tell me how to take it apart to fix the click wheel) whilst i was interested in the accessories i wanted to stay focussed on the selection of players. I deviated to get tech specs and reviews only

I found this and tried it out - but the link to the 'Related Product' is not showing on the product page.

Should I insert an additional NETQUOTEVAR value in the template (and if so, which one)?

I'm very new to Actinic so please excuse me if I've missed somthing really obvious. All help greatfully received!

Have you added [LINK] into the description box on the product's general tab?

            Thanks

            Hi,

That's exactly what I needed to do. Works fine now.

            Thanks.
