Product short desc and layout

If I put something like

Reference 2827GB

then

Short Description: MIXING OIL 220ml

it appears on the page as

MIXING OIL 220ml Ref 2827GB

I want it to appear as

MIXING OIL
220ml Ref 2827GB

But if I put

MIXING OIL!!<<br>>!!220ml

the <br> appears in the email invoice.

Any way to do this?

No real easy way to overcome the products title being on a single line, with any BRs thrown into the mix appearing as code in a number of areas of the site, although I do recall a post in here about doing something similar with section titles, which involved some java script I think, but afraid I have been unable to locate it for some reason, sorry.
