Can you check to see if the orders that have missing address information are using different delivery address to the invoice address?

Please check the following. In Business Settings | Tax | Advanced | 'Tax by location', select "Tax by Invoice address", this will bring in the Delivery Address dropdown just below the Invoice Address country selection.
Check in Design | Text | Web Site(Cont) | Invoice Address | 2nd last option is set to show.
If you have set up a new Country or States in Advanced | Locations, check to see if these entries have Valid entries under 'Code' (Country Code) for countries and 'Abbrivation' for the States.

I have found out what our problem was.
It wasn't not having a drop-down for country selection, because we do. It was because we had created our own zones to cater for "highlands & islands" and "rest of the uk" which i assume means there was no associated country code being passed to HSBC because of that.
We have changed our methods to just have "United Kingdom" as a selectable country and we will adjust our prices to allow for losing a little on orders going to the far reaches of the UK.
Hope this helps anyone else who's experiencing a similar problem.
Cheers,

You are not getting a drop down for the Invoice address because in Business Settings | Tax, you have 'UK Tax Zone' set as default and 'No Tax Levied' zone has 'Do not allow none of the above as a zone member' selected, this is ok as long as you have the UK set up correctly in Advanced | Locations. The delivery address however should offer a drop down with 'Invoice Location', then countries defined in the shipping zones.
If this is not happening, then you need to perhaps replace the shipping Database in the site folder with a copy from the 'Original | Ship Control' folder in the Actinic installation. Note, this will replace your shipping tables with the default set, you will have to reimport the tables.

HSBC Problems
Have tried all the fixes here but still having problems. How do I change the shipping tables Bruce? I tried to copy the SimpleShipping.mdb file from Original into my current site but then when I try to open the Business Settings Actinic crashes.
I only get the blank pages when I specify a different delivery address I currently have only one shipping location and that is United Kingdom.

You need to basically set up your shipping so people have to select their delivery country from a drop down list. To do this, set 'Business Settings | Shipping and Handling' to have a calculation basis other than 'Simple'. You then need to use the white area in the middle of the window to create a 'zone' called the 'UK' containing the 'United Kingdom' (this might exist already) and then get rid of all the other zones. You can then create a new class within the 'UK' and use that to set up your shipping charge.
This whole area is controlled with right-clicks and there is lots of help on it - including some examples, in 'Help | Help Topics'.

Missing address... any developments?
Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any developments on this?
The issue is:
> if the customer enters the invoice address the same as the delivery address then it sails through HSBC with all of the details okay.
> if the customer chooses to enter a different delivery address then no details go through to HSBC.
I have read through the forum and have found three suggestions which were to ensure that tax is not on simple, shipping is not on simple and that the delivery address uses a drop-down for the country.
All of these are set following these rules, yet the info doesn’t get passed to HSBC, and weirdly there is no way of entering them into HSBC the fields are blank and there is no option of editing.
We are new to epayments and HSBC don’t seem to know what I’m on about!
Thanks
Lucy

Hi,
The behaviour should be as follows
If you enter a different delivery address to the billing address, and the delivery address is not forced to a drop down (as specified by the KB item) then no address info is passed to HSBC (because we need the drop down to identify a country code, HSBC does not accept a country name it requires a country ISO code)
So.. the HSBC confirmation page will display no address (or name) information. If you follow the Knowledge Base article then it should work properly.

Hiya Bruce,
Thanks for your reply... I have read through the KB and have followed the instructions however I have obviously done something wrong!
What is currently happening is checkout page 0, there is a drop-down requesting that the customer selected a shipping destination and what is entered here is used in the delivery address... but HSBC doesn't seem to be getting any info unless is it the same billing and delivery address.
Any suggestions where I may be going wrong?
Lucy
