I was reading today about Royal Mail's Postal Address File, and how some web shops use web-based address management solutions to facilitate customers purchases.
Instead of entering their entire address, the customer simply enters the postcode.
Moreover, if you cross reference this to the Royal Mail system, then you can claim compensation if the product is not delivered to the correct address.
(Catalog and e-business p17, 13 April 2006)
Is anyone using this 'postcode only' approach with their Actinic shops?
Thanks for any details of 'web-based address management solutions' that might be compatible, and are their any help sheets and or information on how to integrate what sounds an customer enhancing experience to existing web shops.
Thanks,
