Dedicated Server 1&1

We've had a dedicated 1and1 server since last October, no problems.
We use a co.uk domain and most of our products are page 1 on Google, having said that, Google seems to like our site for some reason and new products appear to be listed pretty quickly.
Works fast, no bandwidth payments, I'm quite happy with 1and1.

Sorry Jo, I didn't really understand what you were saying until later on when I thought it through properly.

I can't claim any credit for the IP redirection idea. I saw it in some posts from webyourbusiness and it just stuck in my mind as a good way to do it. You can also do it when moving to a fixed IP, just redirect the old domain to the new IP address and hey presto.

I have just got a Pinbrook dedicated server, so far only www.mole-end.biz has moved over, this was done automatically for me which was nice. From a usuability point of view the interface is the same as my old shared server and so very easy.

The main difference I have noticed so far is that it is really really fast, almost the same speed for a cached page as a downloaded page (on broadband). I love it.
