    Discounts with components

I have set up some products with components. The components are a delivery charge of £17.50. As most products on the site are set as delivery by weight and these particular products have static delivery it was thought that this was the best way to do it.

The problem we are having is that a discount has been set on some of these products of 30% and when the product is added to the basket it discounts not only the product but the component delivery charge as well which we don't want to do. I have tried it with product and component pricing and product only pricing with component as a seperate order line but it still doesn't work.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi there,

I could replicate this issue on a default actinic website. I'll check this with the development team and get back to you.

      Hi there,

Instead of creating a Component for the products to add delivery charges, you could mark those products as 'Ship Separately',
and give them a fictitious weight such as 10000 and create a shipping table entry for 10000 with a charge of 17.50.

      Hope this helps.
