breaking down cost figure sent to paypal

Hi All

Not sure this is possible, but here goes.....

When checking out using PayPal as the payment method, can the the amount that gets sent to PayPal be broken down into it's component parts i.e. postage/shipping, product amount, VAT rather than just the lump sum total? I've spoken to paypal support who tell me that paypal can accept the data like that but that it's the cart that needs to send it in the broken down format (upload method).

Any help appreciated!

I don't know how to do what you're asking - but - what is your reason for wanting to be able to?

Hi there,

I checked this with my development team and they say that this may be possible but we would first need to know the parameter names required by Paypal and any other settings required to indicate that the value has been split into it's constituent parts.
