IE - Undefined Section Tree

    IE - Undefined Section Tree

    Hi there,

    I have done a basic redesign of a client's site but am having problems with the section tree on IE. The left hand navigation displays correctly in Firefox but not in IE and it is driving me banannas!

    I have looked through all the postings on this subject and tried the various solutions but none of them seem to work for me. Here is the site:

    There should be a left hand navigation but the error I get is:
    Line: 40
    Char:1
    Error: 'section_tree' is undefined
    Code:0

    The homepage uses a different template to the rest of the site, but the navigation doesn't appear anywhere on the site.

    Any help would be appreciated. Am I missing something really obvious?

    You are creating the Section Tree structure before the routines it needs are defined and are also loading it twice.

    Try moving the lines

    <!--@act NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTREE_RAW -->
    <!--@act NETQUOTEVAR:TOPLEVELSECTIONS_RAW -->

    to somewhere below the lines that incude actiniccore.js and actinicextras.js.

    Also remove the extraneous line

    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="Act_section_tree.js" TYPE="text/javascript"></SCRIPT>

    as this is done by the <!--@act NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTREE_RAW -->
    line.

      Can you check?

      Thanks for that Norman, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have an effect. Here is the changed code. Would you mind checking it for me to see if I perhaps misinterpreted your instructions. It is so frustrating when you can see it working in Firefox!

        Hi Alan,

        Since the templates are customized I need the snapshot to investigate the issue further. If the snapshot is less than 10 MB you can send it to my email address sfsupport@actinic.co.uk ,if it is more than 10 MB drop me an email offline so that I can send you the server details.
