Can the main currency be changed 'on the fly'?

In view/businesssettings/options you can change the main currency - but is there any way to do this on the fly?

Could I have two prices for each product - one main price (GBP) and a Euro price as a custom var maybe?

and then change the template to display the price either as euro (customervar) or gbp depending on a specific variable? and the checkout would pass the correct figure in the correct currency to the PSP (on a multi currency account)...?

Or is there a simpler way?

Has anyone found a good method of having dual currencies (not just displayed, but actually charging in that currency as well)?

Pop over to www.drillpine.biz and have a look at Norman's Actinic stuff. He either tells you how you can do this, or sells a package that does it - can't remember which

Although the billing etc is still done in the base currency Norman's Norprice will change the secondary currency automatically across the site. You can see it here:

Click on the flags and you can try it out in the new window that opens.
