Hiding sub sections on Store Sections

I want to be able to hide sub sections on the store sections menu on the left hand side (using smart theme) ie.

Currently the site says:
Tarot cards
- Tarot Cards A-Z
- Tarot Cards by genre
Tarot Books
Tarot Bags

I do not wnat it to display the sub sections, Tarot Cards A-Z and By Genre.

Any ideas how this can be done.

However next questions: I know how to add the section tree to non actinic pages by using following code:

document.write(YahooSections(section_tree))
</SCRIPT>

But is it possible to add just the top levels?
