    SEO 1 Product per page

I am laying my site out using thumbnail sections one image per page subsections. If the subsections is targeting the keyword phrase 'punk baby t-shirts' should this be reflected in the associated product short and long descriptions or do the search engines just look at the subsection and not its associated product.

    Thanks

The search engine spider does not know section/subsection from chocolate icing.

What the spider sees, consumes, and indexes is a page, one solitary page - and everything visible on that page is taken into consideration and indexed by the SE spider. It only sees what is on the page - not what might be on a linked page or written in an image.

(WARNING: They also see everything on the page that is *not* visible to the human visitor. And anything *not* visible to the human visitor that smells like manipulation to the SE can get you banned.)

Just for a moment, forget the SE and think of the customer - is everything the customer needs to know ablout the product visible on the page? If not, add it - even if it means you repeat the page title, the section title and the website title. If you need to say punk baby t-shirts, other baby t-shirts, punk t-shirts for older kids, punk music, printed t-shirts to communicate with the customer, do so. And enjoy the extra benefit you will gain from the SE. Your finished page is going to contain roughly 250 to 350 words which help the customer decide to buy your t-shirt, on the spot.
