    Waiting for support so it your turn

    I am awaiting a call back from support (paid for cover) and thought I would try you guys while I wait.
    6 years with the same host, same old settings, but,
    No orders this morning.
    When i place a test order, i add to cart, enter name and addy, and when I enter the card details and click next I get:
    ERROR reading from ../actalog/54rj5j7.num, (0)

    Any ideas as I suspect i am sat here losing sales...

    I would guess that the root of the issue lies with your host... contact them

      Cheers Jo, I contacted them but they have made no changes to the server. They are normally spot on with support.

        I have just received the same error code so you are losing sales

        Have you tried purging and refreshing the site to see if that clears it?

          No I have not Jont. I have orders waiting to be processed so i am just clearing them before doing anything major.
          Starting to feel a little sick aswell.

            I should of said, When I try to upload I get this:

            An error occurred when trying to connect to the server. This can happen when Windows is confused about proxy settings. If you have Internet Explorer or another application configured to work with a proxy, the settings should be the same for Catalog.

            You can also get this message if you have not defined the network settings in the preferences.

            HOWEVER, I have not changed anything, the host says they have not changed anything. Still waiting for a call and still feeling sick.

              If you have not altered anything your side (firewalls, antivirus, new ISP etc) then it definitely sounds like the host issue - even mirroring fromone server to another with in theory all the same settings can sometimes cause issue.

              Have you tried connecting via FTP to the site?

                If you go into advanced network settings and run a test what errors do you get?

                        Some hosts are gits at making changes and assuming all is OK and then blindly deny it has anything to do with them and it must be due to planetary alignment on the 2nd Thusday of March!
