    Sitemap Display

Hi I'm a newbee to actinic, and am currently building my first site. The site map that actinic is currently generating is showing our product codes (as we have entered these into the section details.)

What I would really like it to show is the text in the Description box instead. I thought that if I just changed the NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONNAME to NETQUOTEVAR:SECTIONTEXT in Act_SiteMapSectionLine.html that it would work, but it doesn't.

Can actinic do this? What am I doing wrong?

    Welcome Jonathan.
As you have seen the sitemap will automatically show the section names and is usually a short description of the section. Your product codes could be appended to the section name (if you are using one product per section) but normally the product code is only put into the product itself not the section.
Rather than changing the default operation why not just use it in the standard way or by appending the product code in the section name.

      Actinic Generated Site Map

How is the Actinic site map generated? I guess it is compiled as part of the program. I can see the various templates for the <ul> indents and the <li> generated from the NQV:SECTIONNAME etc ... but how is it knowing when to indent for the sub-sections etc?

I am hoping to automate hand-coded css <li> lists that have a second level flyout.

        Jonathan,

Did you ever get anywhere with this ?

I am trying to add an image as well as the SECTIONNAME, I thought that adding NQV:SECTIONIMAGE would do the trick.

        It doesn't ?

        Let me know, Simon.
