    CCAPP.exe

Whenever I try to close down Activic V7, I get a Windows message asking me if I want to end the CCAPP.exe task.

Does anyone know what this is and what it means?

    Thanks

I don't know why you get this message but...

ccApp.exe is part of Norton Anti-Virus (or Norton Internet Security).

It should be left running at all times - assuming you are using one of the above programs.

See http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...03010811511306 for some (non related) info from the authors of Norton.

Thanks Norman - it may just be coincidence that it comes up every now and then when I close Actinic.

      Appreciate your advice

Something's weirdly interfering with Norton. Keep an eye on Norton's taskbar icon. This indicates whether your security is running properly.

          Do you use norton?

Hi I have had this problem when I shut my pc down but never with actinic.
If you use Norton then ccapp.exe is not a problem but try this link for more info

As you will see in one of the results from the above search, it's a known Norton Antivirus bug, and should be fixed when you run LiveUpdate. If you don't have Norton Antivirus on your PC, get yourself a spyware remover.

              Norton Anti Virus

I find that if you go to the advance section of Norton Anti Virus and untick the 'Scan floppy disk in 'a' for boot viruses' when shutting down' this will solve the problem. This happens on all the computers when Norton Anti virus is installed as it is a default installation.

If you have not a floppy drive this can be unticked safetly and if you have just make sure no floppy disk is in the drive.
