    Disappearing items from the cart after an upload

    We have used Actinic for our shopping cart for 5+ years and we have upgraded each time and now we are on 7. After an upload I always get approx 30% of customers saying that after they have added products to the cart and then clicked view cart the items are not there. It does not happen to all customers as I (who obviously has viewed the site before) don't get the problem yet another girl in our office does?!?

    These customers are existing ones and have therefore used/viewed our site previously. To remedy the problem I have to ask the customer to go to tool, internet options, delete cookies and clear history in their browser.

    I have never had this issue with any other version of Actinic and find myself saving up changes to minimize disruption to my customers.

    Are there any thoughts on why this is happening and how it can be avoided?

    I would appreciate any help on this matter.

    Hi,

    check the number of hours / days set under Web | Configure Expiry Periods .. if they are quite long try setting a smaller number of hours / days accordingly
