        Hi,

the last support number was : 72342 but since then I've also rang the helpdesk and spoke to a guy who asked me to email my network settings to sbsupport@actinic.co.uk. This was friday morning and I've had nothing back, I've emailed again today and no word.

If you can help that would be great.

        Craig.

            Solution

After many many months of trying to get this sorted. I've found a working solution.

The problem was with the setup of PERL on my server. If you use the following guide to setup PERL then all should be well.

            http://www.visualwin.com/Perl/

I'm off to the pub for a pint.

              Hello,

I am also getting the 'An error occurred while merging files on the remote site. Content-type: text/plainContent-length: 215Date: Fri, 18-Aug-2006 21:54:45 GMTSet-Cookie: ACTINIC_BUSINESS=-; PATH=/;OK'.

I am using a Windows 2003 server, I have verified the Perl installation as V 5.0.0.8, and the Path is set. All permissions have been double checked. I have removed and re-instated the web site, uninstalled and reinstalled Actinic, and searched these forums. I would have liked to look at the link up above, but the site is no longer in use.

If anyone here has the answer and can share, I would appreciate it.

Man o man o man. I am so frustrated right now.

After spending a day running around with this software and following your instructions, I had a thought that finally cleared my 'merge' problem.

Your instructions say to point the Perl extension to the perlis.dll, yet Active State says to use perl.exe "%s" %s. So I changed it. How cheap is that?

I'm surprised I haven't come across any other posts that mention this.

I'm going to use what looks like works. But if someone here can point out why these settings should not be used and what can be done to correct the.dll usage I'd love to hear it.

                  fun and games

I know what you mean, but it worked and still works for me after months of use and a whole class of students creating sites *touch virtual wood*
