unable to download orders

Hi folks

Having thought I had my problems sorted, it appears this is not the case. Today I found a few problems uploading my site, an error message came up:

Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server. Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.

Now I find that I cannot download any orders when I try to out through a dummy order. I get an email, but the same error. When I trey to configure web site details it says there is a pipe error.

Please help..... is it a server issue??

is you site working? can you place orders?

what is the url of your site?

did your site work ok before, have you had any problems with the scripts previously. I have had this message before but it was merely caused by time outs on my internet connection.

a few things to try
go to advance|network settings then click on test. see what errors you get.
compact your database then purge and refresh your website.
check the permissions on your cgi bin.

post your network settings here and let us know who your host is and someone might be able to spot any problems you might have with these.

hi there

seems to be working now - i think. Thanks for your attention. The site was timing out a lot during upload, but i can now download orders.

I did a network test and it said it was fine, then I refreshed the website and all appears to be ok for now.

If I compact my shipping list, I am assuming I can still get access to it? It has a good few orders on there from last year. Would that be slowing things down any?

P.S. in respose our website can be found at www.physio-line.co.uk and our website host is a company called End design 2 (ED2).
