it is possible to have different prices for every single customer...

    Hi!

I'm completely new in Actinic. My problem is that I can't find a way to have different prices in my products for every customer that I have when they log in. I can't have them in groups because all of them are different and I don't want to apply a discount based on a percentage.

    Can somebody help me???

    Thanks

Can't get you around the part about not wanting to apply a discount by percentage. I think you're stuck with that. However, you can set up an individual customer as a group and have that customer as the single buyer for that group. The discount you set will be unique to that customer.

Standardizaton of pricing would be more of a benefit in the long run. Before the Web site most of my customers were custom quoted. Prices were all over the place. Publicizing the site to my customer base has forced me to an equilibrium that's making life easier. You have to bite the bullet for the ones you're making a killing on, or don't tell them about the site.

It might help others respond if you can tell us how many products and customers you expect to have.

The obvious problem of scale is 1000 products and 1000 customers would require you to enter 1,000,000 unique prices. Do you really want to do that?

        Thanks for answering!!

I will have around 300 products and I have around 100 current customers. The only solution I can find is to create the same products 100 times and allow each of my customer to see their products with their prices.
Is that correct or you can tell me something else??

Can you not place customers into groups for pricing rather than each have their own? Seems that would be a nightmare to maintain and track, never mind Actinic.

            Welcome Jose,

I just noticed that this is your first post.

The problem scales down to 300 x 100 prices, which at 30,000 is a lot less than 1,000,000 but still way too large to enter manually.

If you consider Duncans suggestion and were able to have, say, 10 customer groups, you would now have 10 prices to enter for each product, leading to a large, but manageable, 3,000 prices.
