On updating the update cuts out just before sending files.

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? My site has been working for about a year without making any structural or design changes. Yesterday I had to reset my ftp password. I went into the Network setup and simply changed it. Now every time I update the site the update process gets to "sending files..." and cuts off without any warning or any error. At first I thought it had updated, but it hadn't.

After speaking to Actinic they suggested a few things. I tried changing the CGI Script Number to something new to try and refresh the site. I tried refreshing the site instead of updating, but had no luck. I then tried upgrading the site to the latest version. Still no joy. I also did an Offline Preview to show that there are no problems with the HTML and that was fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would go back to Advanced | Network Settings, rekey the new FTP details and click Test - to see if the new details have 'taken' .
