Does 'out of stock' appear on the site automatically??

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to know the above!
I havnt used the stock section on actinic yet as I sell from the site and ebay etc, but have decided to give it a go and think it'll be easier than the system Ive currently got set up.
Could you let me know that if a product does go out of stock does it show up on the site? if so how and where ? is it only if they try to order it or at the product/

When you download orders via Actinic, the stock quantity is updated on your hard disk. You then need to upload from Actinic to the website to change the quantities available on the site - if you forget to upload, the site will not change. When stock available is less than the quantity you have set as the 'suspend if below' value, the next upload will cause that item to display an 'out of stock' message after the product description, and also remove the add to cart button so customers will not be able to order.
