I hit it.... then access to the internet was required, files were checked similar to Preview, and that was it?

Yes it did, wasn't sure what that meant.... pointless button, etc.
So how do I publish my finished article, in brief terms.

It filled your PC's SiteHTML folder with all the live sites acatalog stuff. Useful, e.g., if you've a single broken file on the server and want to manually FTP a replacement.

You publish via Web / Refresh (send everything) or Web / Update (only recent changes).
