Design | Text problem

I want to stop online customers from being able to select a different shipping address. I have read the help files and have no problems with the procedure.

But when I try to open 'Design | Text' I get an error message saying " Error retrieving record" when I click on OK the page opens and I can uncheck the necessary box. But I cannot save the changes I have to close the box and changes are lost.

I have reinstalled the software and I am initially able to edit the page but when I import the site I am back to the position I started from i.e " Error retrieving record" etc. It would appear there is a problem with the exported site in some way.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest trying to compact the databases from within Actinic, HouseKeeping | Compact Databases, and then try the change. Let us know if this works.
