V7 website - performance/slow site?

Hi

I have had a comment that my site (run on claranet) is running slow. I just wondered what you guys thought - www.kjbeckett.com.

This may be due to the amount of images I have have onsite?

Also anyone suggest low cost performance monitoring tools that they have used with a V7 site?

Works ok for me! Have you checked with the person who mentioned the problem what their connection speed is - if they are on dial-up then it may be a bit slow due to images.

The person who raised the alert is on broadband but their computer is a bit old now (very noisy if I remember).

I think this is due to images on your pages. Some pages have a lot of images and do take some time to fully cache. I have looked at your site in the past and don't notice any difference in speed though, so doubt if it's anything new. Great images BTW - certainly the selling point of your site.

Many thanks! The idea of having good/big images was one of our key points when creating the site. Do you think it is acceptable speed wise? I hope we have not gone overboard and scaraficed speed too much?

Is there a limit (or recommended limit) to page size for broadband? My target audience is Broadband users therefore I accept it if the dial-up customer gets hit abit?
