on our site http://www.thesleepshop.co.uk/acatalog/index.html the background disappears once you start browsing the catalogue. It only returns when you hit refresh. anyone know why?

You have a huge amount of displayable HTML code before the </HEAD> tag. You also have two <BODY ...> and </BODY> tags.
The extraneous stuff is in Act_Primary.html between the </TITLE> and <Actinic:BASEHREF VALUE="NETQUOTEVAR:BASEHREF"/>. Nothing should be above the BASEHREF line that didn't come from Actinic.Norman - www.drillpine.biz

Indeed very confusing with the CSS declaring the fade.jpg and then <body> declaring background="" .. a null background ... it works in Firefox but not IEComment
