Think she is more concerned with the conversion rates and not just where you rank on SERPs listings ... appearing top of the pile is not necessarily going to lead to more sales ... but it has to help.
She is harking back to a time prior to adwords when SERP's was possibly the be-all and end-all of your company if languising down on page 152 of Google
Interesting read! - She is actually marketing herself and her business by telling people how good they are with Adwords (which you can do the google professional course for free) and saying ignore organic results.
This is I think madness - yes you can get clicks but they cost you all the time, organic searches cost you nothing sepecially if you have an unusualy product with little competition.
the only thing I do agree with is the Analytics, again not new but VERY important. Unless you know what your website is doing you cannot understant the effect of changes you are making. At the end of the day it is about sales not traffic.
don't use duplicates!<...>or use a dummy product with a link to the original product.
Hello Jo, I have just run across this issue with a recently developed New Products page, and I was wondering how you recommend creating the dummy products.
In fact in the one product per page scenario, wouldn't I be better off creating dummy subsection lists?
Fragments look to be the obvious answer, but I don't see how I could get them to match the layout of my product or section lines.
