Moving between an "OPEN basket" and "More Pages" ?

Is there any problems with a user moving to "More Pages" style pages mid-way through a shop?

For example, I am adding information pages underneath the Home Page, a bit like More Pages, and allow a user to access these at any time, including mid-way through adding several items to their Cart.

If they go out and come back into the Catalogue does the Cart details remain?

The cart details remain as long as the cookie you load on their machine is valid - a quick look in the online help will give you information about how to adjust that time.
