Copy a layout

Whats the best way to copy one site just for the layout?

I only need a few products from the original (don't mind adding these again), but I would prefere to start with a clean(ish) site rather then use a snapshot and just delete all the items.

Any Ideas?

Depends how much modification has been done and do you have a list of the templates you have changed down the line? If not then the safest solution is to export the snapshot and license the new site and import back in.

This will give the layout you are looking for but you will have a lot of legacy images etc that will need deleting from the site1 folder to keep as clean as possible

If you are on developer - check out exporting the theme from the working site.

Thanks for your response - i'm currently running a trial version of Actinic developer, is 'exporting theme' not an option in this menu?

I'm looking under File | Snapshot.

No, go to: Advanced|Custom Themes - you can then save your site as a new theme (and export it from there as well).

Check out the ever handy "HELP" file as it explains how to export themes from Developer

I would not expect this to be functional in the evaluation version.
