help needed with actinic cataloge V4

when we try to up load or download anything we are getting these messages and cannot get any orders on or off (so this is kinda urgent).

WHEN UPLOADING OR TRYING TO REFRESH THE WEBSITE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE APPEARS

    200 TYPE is now ASCII
    200 PORT command successful
425 could not open data connection to port 2874: Connection refused

CLICK OK THEN THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE APPEARS

An error occurred while transferring files to the web site.

    Possible Cause:
    Network timed out
    Network is down
    FTP server is down
    Remote server disk is full
The permissions on the file or directory on the remote
    server are locked
If the file being sent is a CGI script
(nqxxxxxx.pl or caxxxxxx.pl) someone else may be
using the same CGI script ID as you.
    Recommendations:
    Abort
    Resolution:
    Re-establish your network connection
Be sure the FTP server is running
Try re-installing the web site when the network is not so busy
Make sure the disk is not full on the remote server
Make sure the website and cgi-bin directories
on the remote server are writable
Make sure the files in the cgi-bin and website are writable
Make sure your CGI script ID in the Advanced |
Network Setup... dialog is unique for your web server.

    File: C:\Program Files\Actinic Catalog v4\Sites\Site1\os000001.pl

so if anyone has any idears it would be wonderfuly receved.

Try enabling passive ftp (if V4 has this option). If not then I'd probably suggest you upgrade, particularly if you're using a DSL connection..

It depends on how much customisation you've done.

Most of the listings, settings, etc will carry over fine. The main problems with upgrading occur when the templates have been customised as Actinic has little option but to make the changes it needs for new features, etc.

make a copy of all the files for your site, the actinic database and all the securty settings. That way if anything does go wrong you can always go back until things go right.

In my experience, upgrading takes a good half a day to get right. Maybe a full day if you've customised templates.
